Position Summary:

The Corporate Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting functions for the organization, ensuring compliance with GAAP, accuracy in financial reporting, and timely month-end close processes. This role will lead a team of accounting professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies, and support external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with tax and compliance teams to ensure all financial reporting meets regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process improvements as needed.
  • Prepare and present financial analysis and reports to executive leadership, highlighting key financial metrics and variances.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and month-end close in a manufacturing or corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proven experience managing accounting teams and enhancing operational processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
