As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing multiple automation and robotics projects. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, controls, and sales teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget—while meeting high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full project lifecycle—from kickoff through design, build, testing, and installation
- Define project scope, deliverables, resources, and schedules in collaboration with internal stakeholders and clients
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Manage day-to-day communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams
- Lead project meetings, track progress, identify risks, and drive resolution of issues
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering resources and tasks
- Oversee procurement of components and manage vendor/supplier timelines
- Ensure compliance with all customer requirements, safety standards, and technical specifications
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities
- Report project status to leadership and maintain accurate project documentation
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration
Qualifications
Required:
- 3–7 years of experience in project management, preferably in industrial automation, robotics, or systems integration
- Strong understanding of machine design, controls, robotics, and manufacturing processes
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex technical projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel occasionally for site visits, customer meetings, or installations (10–20%)
Preferred:
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite)
- Familiarity with robotic platforms (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA, UR) and PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., automotive, medical device, food & beverage)
