Senior Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods
  • Perform inventory costing activities, including standard cost maintenance, variances, and adjustments
  • Analyze inventory transactions and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to inventory, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing variances
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Coordinate and oversee physical inventory counts and cycle counts
  • Partner with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including inventory and cost accounting support
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to inventory controls, accuracy, and reporting
  • Participate in system enhancements, ERP upgrades or process improvements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience in inventory accounting / cost accounting
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Experience working with ERP systems
