Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods
- Perform inventory costing activities, including standard cost maintenance, variances, and adjustments
- Analyze inventory transactions and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Prepare and post journal entries related to inventory, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing variances
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Coordinate and oversee physical inventory counts and cycle counts
- Partner with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to resolve inventory issues
- Assist with internal and external audits, including inventory and cost accounting support
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to inventory controls, accuracy, and reporting
- Participate in system enhancements, ERP upgrades or process improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience in inventory accounting / cost accounting
- Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience working with ERP systems
