Job Summary
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for managing a team focused on cash receipt reconciliation. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of cash transactions, overseeing operations, and driving efficiency improvements. While the position does not involve collections, it requires strong attention to detail, effective leadership skills, and a collaborative approach to cash management.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor cash receipts associates to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Provide training, coaching, and feedback to enhance team capabilities.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement.
Cash Reconciliation and Management
- Oversee the reconciliation of cash receipts, ensuring accurate transactions and swift resolution of discrepancies.
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with company policies.
Collaboration and Process Improvement
- Identify and address inefficiencies in cash receipt and reconciliation processes.
- Implement improvements to enhance accuracy and compliance.
- Leverage technology to streamline workflows.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve operational challenges.
Recordkeeping and Reporting
- Ensure meticulous recordkeeping for audit readiness and compliance.
- Prepare reports on cash receipts and reconciliation status for management.
Compliance and Internal Controls
- Enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Stay informed of financial regulation changes and adjust processes accordingly.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- 3-5 years in accounts receivable or cash receipts, including supervisory experience.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor team members.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems preferred.
