Our client, an award winning small independent agency, is seeking a Creative Director of Copy to partner closely with their Copy counterpart, ECD and CCO to lead a creative team to groundbreaking conceptual creative campaigns for top consumer brands.
This person must have a demonstrated track record of leadership, Creative Directing and Copywriting experience with a comprehensive understanding of communication strategies across traditional, digital, social, experiential/activations, and video.
The right person will be comfortable overseeing the day-to-day creative output of the team, jumping in and taking initiative, directing others but also able to execute, and 100% accountable for client success.
This CD will be supported by a top performing award-winning team of creatives, as well as industry leaders across account, strategy, project management and production.
Responsibilities:
- Manage creative campaigns from conception to execution for top tier consumer accounts
- Collaborate with partner to manage a team of 10+ creatives across 4 primary clients and new business
- Direct all phases of creative work from concept through production
- Mentor a motivated team of mid-level and senior creatives across both art and copy
- Present and sell through creatively disruptive campaigns to both new and existing clients
- Promote continual creative improvement and actively contribute to a culture of innovation and accountability
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience (minimum, no maximum!)
- Demonstrated ability to manage junior, mid-level and senior creatives team from concept through completion while continuing to grow the team (vetting talent in, not out!)
- Small to mid-size independent agency experience is required
- Conceptual creative portfolio that shows a variety of experience across different mediums and categories
- Experience owning campaigns from concept-completion
- Passion for new digital technologies + emerging trends
