The Director of Leasing will be responsible for overseeing all leasing activities and strategies for a brand new luxury building in Bergen County, NJ. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in high-end property management and sales, exceptional leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of the luxury real estate rental market. The ideal candidate will have had previous experience working with a lease-up.

This is a newly created role where you would have the opportunity to build out a team to work under you, as well as being involved with unit pricing and department strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative leasing strategies to attract and retain luxury residential tenants. Analyze market trends and competitive positioning to adjust leasing tactics as needed.
  • Monitor local real estate trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Utilize data to make informed decisions and recommendations.
  • Develop and manage the leasing budget, including forecasting, expense tracking, and financial reporting. Ensure leasing targets are met and contribute to the property’s overall financial performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the leasing team to ensure high performance, motivation, and professional growth. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospective and current residents. Provide personalized and attentive service, addressing any concerns or needs promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute targeted marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and event-based strategies, to enhance the property’s visibility and attract qualified tenants.
  • Oversee the leasing process from initial inquiry to move-in, including property tours, application processing, lease negotiations, and contract execution. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in leasing or property management, with a strong background in luxury residential properties.
  • Proven track record of successful leasing and team management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with high-profile clients.
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of market dynamics and trends.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
