SUMMARY:

The Financial Analyst will support budgeting, forecasting, and operational reviews by performing financial analyses. They will also assist in enhancing business decisions and processes organization-wide through comprehensive financial analyses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares annual target and capital budgets based on performance, estimated revenue, expense reports, historical data, and current trends, and reviews these budgets monthly to analyze trends.
  • Collects and analyzes records of operations, trends, costs, revenues, and commitments to project future revenue and expenses, and updates monthly statistics and variance analysis reports for senior management.
  • Maintains and updates internal benchmark and corporate performance data, applying financial theory and concepts to support business decision analysis and capital investment analysis.
  • Creates and updates business and financial presentations for management, and maintains costing files by department using principles of cost accounting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) from a four-year college or university, with one to three years of related experience and/or training.
  • Language Ability: Read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Math Ability: Apply advanced mathematical concepts like exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations to tasks such as frequency distribution and analysis.
  • Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret technical instructions in various forms.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, accounting, inventory, and payroll software.
