Our client is seeking an adaptable and highly organized staff generalist to join the Human Resources team. The staff generalist supports the Human Resources team by contributing to a variety of key Human Resource functions. These functions include benefits and compensation, reporting, and administrative duties. The successful candidate enjoys collaborating across departments on projects and can multitask in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain company directory and other organizational charts
- Recommend new policies, approaches, and procedures
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings
- Create and revise job descriptions
- Schedule and calendar management
- Conduct annual salary surveys
- Develop, revise, and recommend personnel policies and procedures
- Assist with benefits administration
- Responsible for the full life cycle of employee files
- Oversee recruitment efforts
- Conduct phone screenings
- Facilitate new employee orientations
- Oversee exit interviews
- Maintain department records and reports
- Assist the human resources team with projects as needed
- Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
- Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
- Maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
- Assist the HR team with other ad hoc projects and daily tasks
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, or related field
- Benefits administration and compensation management experience
- Two plus years experience of HR experience with an emphasis on coordinating projects
- Ability to adapt to an evolving environment and handle multiple high-volume priorities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality
- Advanced in using Microsoft Office and Excel
