Our client is a Real Estate investment/development firm that is seeking a Human Resources Associate to help manage the full HR life cycle of their growing team in NYC. The HR Associate will report directly to the HR Director, and support across a variety of key functions.   • Work with CFO and HR consultant to establish company-wide human resource policies and procedures (travel, expense, education reimbursements)
  • Maintain and revise company directory, organizational charts, and employee handbook
  • Conduct required annual employee compliance training
  • Prepare positions descriptions, post open jobs, screen candidates, and schedule interviews
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a positive onboarding experience; ensure all new employees are appropriately enrolled into HR system, Payroll system and all relevant insurances and other employee benefits
  • Position will be the primary contact with external payroll provider, including ongoing communication of all changes to payroll / deductions for existing, new and terminated employees
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and required reconciliations
  • Position with be the primary contact with Company’s insurance broker and 3rd party benefit providers
  • Lead administration of annual open enrollment for employee benefits
  • Maintain associate personnel files, ensuring documents and manuals are kept current, accurate, confidential, and in compliance with company policies and government regulations
  • Perform monthly/quarterly audit / reconciliation of HR system to payroll records and insurance / benefits
  • Effectively administer and track leave programs including short-term disability, worker’s compensation, FMLA and personal leaves


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or applicable field
  • 2-3+ years of Human Resources related experience
