Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians (mechanical, electrical, and/or controls)
- Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
- Respond to and prioritize corrective maintenance and emergency repairs
- Ensure maintenance activities support production schedules and quality requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and safety teams to improve equipment reliability
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory
- Support installation, commissioning, and modification of manufacturing equipment
- Enforce compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety policies, including lockout/tagout and hot work procedures
- Manage outside contractors and service providers as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or trade certification preferred
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in metal processing, powder metallurgy, or heavy manufacturing
- 2+ years of supervisory or lead maintenance experience
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Experience working in safety-critical manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
