Project Manager

New York Metro Area (On-site)
Full Time

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee complex residential construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in residential construction, with demonstrated success managing large-scale capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, adaptive reuse developments, or similarly complex scopes. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who excels at driving project timelines, budgets, and quality—whether from an owner/developer perspective or with a top-tier construction management (CM) firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full project lifecycle for complex residential construction projects, including ground-up developments, adaptive reuse, and large-scale renovations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and reporting to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Oversee permitting, procurement, quality control, safety, and change management.
  • Provide regular updates and communicate effectively with stakeholders, ownership, and executive leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to design specifications, local codes, and project standards.
  • Solve field and coordination issues in a proactive, solution-driven manner.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing residential construction projects, with a strong preference for those involving complex scopes (e.g., adaptive reuse, large CapEx projects).
  • Experience with full-cycle project management, including pre-construction, execution, and closeout.
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and contract documents.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.).
  • Backgrounds from both owner/developer and construction management firms will be considered.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with multifamily, mixed-use, or high-end residential developments.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and LEED guidelines a plus.
