This role will support the development of high-performance RF systems used in wireless communications, radar, sensing, or related applications. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional hardware, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure RF designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop RF circuits including RF filters, matching networks, amplifiers, and signal chains for wireless and high-frequency applications.
- Perform RF filter design including lumped-element, distributed, microstrip, and cavity filters depending on system requirements.
- Develop and optimize RF PCB layouts ensuring controlled impedance, signal integrity, grounding, and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Conduct RF simulations using industry tools (e.g., ADS, Microwave Office, HFSS, CST, or similar).
- Perform RF measurements and validation using lab equipment such as vector network analyzers (VNA), spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
- Analyze RF performance including S-parameters, insertion loss, return loss, isolation, and bandwidth.
- Work closely with PCB layout engineers and mechanical engineers to ensure manufacturable and high-performance RF designs.
- Support prototype bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting of RF circuits and subsystems.
- Document designs, simulation results, test procedures, and performance data.
- Participate in design reviews and cross-functional engineering collaboration.
- Support transition of designs from prototype to production manufacturing.
