Responsibilities
- Manage accounting and financial reporting for active real estate development and construction projects
- Review and process construction pay applications and requisitions, including AIA documentation (G702/G703)
- Coordinate construction draw submissions and maintain relationships with lenders and financial institutions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for project entities
- Monitor project budgets, job costs, cash flow, and funding activity across multiple developments
- Partner closely with project management, ownership, and external construction teams to support financial oversight and reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis throughout the lifecycle of development projects
- Support process improvements and ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience within construction, development, or project accounting
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and construction cost tracking
- Experience reviewing construction requisitions and AIA billing forms (G702/G703)
- Background working with owners, developers, general contractors, or related real estate organizations preferred
- Exposure to ERP/accounting systems such as Yardi is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
