Our manufacturing client in Bucks County, PA is looking for a senior accountant to join their team. This is a hybrid, full time role with 2 days a week WFH.
Responsibilities
- Approve and record journal entries
- Compile month-end reporting package
- Assist in consolidation and external reporting tasks
- Identify financial risks and opportunities
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Perform variance analysis and understand key drivers
- Review departmental spending variances with managers
- Identify accounting process improvements
- Ensure completion of monthly account reconciliations
- Administer capital spending processes
- Maintain Fixed Asset System (FAS)
- Evaluate results and trends for improvements
- Maintain and compile process documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting operations or 3 or more years of experience in public accounting (manufacturing industry experience is a plus)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in either active or inactive status is a plus
- Previous public accounting experience (Big 4) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or closely related field
- Strong accounting process experience and understanding of overall business processes
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills and advanced experience in ERP systems (SAP Fiori and Hyperion is a plus)
- Experience with month-end financial reporting
- Knowledge of current GAAP accounting principles and ability to apply to Oliver’s activities and awareness of emerging changes in GAAP and implications to Oliver
