Senior Accountant

Our manufacturing client in Bucks County, PA is looking for a senior accountant to join their team. This is a hybrid, full time role with 2 days a week WFH.

 

Responsibilities

  • Approve and record journal entries
  • Compile month-end reporting package
  • Assist in consolidation and external reporting tasks
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Perform variance analysis and understand key drivers
  • Review departmental spending variances with managers
  • Identify accounting process improvements
  • Ensure completion of monthly account reconciliations
  • Administer capital spending processes
  • Maintain Fixed Asset System (FAS)
  • Evaluate results and trends for improvements
  • Maintain and compile process documentation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting operations or 3 or more years of experience in public accounting (manufacturing industry experience is a plus)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in either active or inactive status is a plus
  • Previous public accounting experience (Big 4) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or closely related field
  • Strong accounting process experience and understanding of overall business processes
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills and advanced experience in ERP systems (SAP Fiori and Hyperion is a plus)
  • Experience with month-end financial reporting
  • Knowledge of current GAAP accounting principles and ability to apply to Oliver’s activities and awareness of emerging changes in GAAP and implications to Oliver
