Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Corporate Accountant for our manufacturing client in the Clyde, Ohio area. The Corporate Accountant will play a key role in managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and summaries in compliance with GAAP and/or IFRS regulations. Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial transactions to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Oversee and manage general ledger entries, including reviewing and posting journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Ensure that all entries are accurate and compliant with accounting standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies..
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within accounting functions. Implement best practices and leverage tools like Excel, RPA, and accounting software.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and responding to inquiries. Ensure that financial records and documentation are accurate and complete.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experienced with accounting software (e.g., ERP systems). Knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS regulations is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
