Our client, a $1 billion real estate investment firm is seeking a Senior Analyst! They seek someone with a strong accounting and valuation foundation interested in pivoting to a more analytical role in asset management.
Fully remote position for someone in the tri-state area who can travel into the office occasionally for meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze, and report on existing asset performance including the review of financial statements, performing financial analysis, developing Excel based models, and contributing to the development of strategies to protect and enhance asset value
- Track and review borrower reporting requirements to ensure compliance with loan documentation
- Develop and present solutions addressing any performance issues and recommending course(s) of action to resolve the same
- Monitor construction progress including status of trades, schedule conformance, milestone targets, and conduct periodic site visits
- Provide analytical support on a wide variety of assignments including market research, review of property operating statements, cash flow modeling, property valuation, and borrower credit review for investment committee approval
- Assist in the origination, underwriting, due diligence and closing of new real estate investments
- Prepare and present screening and credit memos for our senior management comprised of investment terms and conditions, a narrative explaining transaction background, and risk factors
- Work collaboratively with Galaxy team members, borrowers, senior lenders, brokers, and market participants
- Exercise discretion, independent judgement and problem-solving abilities to complete work assignments in a highly disciplined and professional manner
- Communicate your findings and recommendations clearly in both written and verbal presentations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree
- 2+ years relevant accounting experience within real estate
- Real estate valuation experience
- CPA certification is a plus
