My client, one of the most highly reputable real estate firms in Florida, is seeking a Senior Accountant. This person will handle corporate accounting, development accounting, and financial analysis duties. The Senior Accountant will report to a friendly and supportive Controller, and the role offers significant potential for growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly workpapers and reporting package, including financial statements and variance analysis
• Report on both tax and GAAP basis
• Maintain cash forecast model and monitor cash flow
• Assist in the development of accounting policies and procedures
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Perform intercompany analysis and reimbursements
• Maintain general ledgers for corporate and venture entities
• Assist in budget preparation and review
• Assist in year-end tax return process
• Review accounts payable invoices for coding
• Assist on various projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Approximately 3-7 years of experience in public or private accounting
• CPA a plus
• Real estate experience a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organization skills
• Attention to detail and strong analytical problem solving skills
• Professional presence, outstanding work ethic and ability to work in a cohesive team environment
• Must have the desire to learn about and understand the hard assets and underlying numbers
