Our client is an industrial automation manufacturer with over 20,000 employees worldwide. We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team in the greater Cincinnati area. Open to more junior cost accountants as well who have 2+ years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Budget Coordination: Assist cost center leaders in developing operating and capital budgets, ensuring compliance with corporate policies.
• Cost and Inventory Analysis: Conduct operational cost performance analyses and support inventory management with detailed reporting.
• Data Management: Enhance material master data quality and perform data uploads to ensure accurate reporting in line with corporate standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, and other departments to drive efficiency and support project initiatives.
• Economic and Financial Analysis: Analyze external economic factors and develop financial models to assess impacts on business operations and strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; MBA is a plus. Requires 5+ years of experience for Senior Cost Analyst and 2+ years for Junior.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in cost accounting (target costing, standard pricing) and extensive knowledge of SAP (FI, CO, BW, Logistics, Production, AO, Project Systems, SAC).
• Analytical Abilities: Skilled in reading and interpreting financial reports, with strong PC software skills and a focus on internal control systems; English required, with German and/or Spanish as a plus.
