Position Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical systems across a diverse portfolio of projects. This position requires strong technical expertise, proven project management skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the engineering and design of electrical systems across a variety of project types
- Perform system calculations and detailed design for large and complex projects
- Develop construction documents, including plans, schematics, one-line diagrams, specifications, and system narratives
- Conduct equipment selection, load calculations, system layouts, and field investigations
- Prepare due diligence and feasibility reports
- Participate in coordination meetings with clients, architects, and other consultants
- Provide construction administration support as needed
- Maintain close collaboration with internal engineering and design teams
- Ensure quality control, technical accuracy, and adherence to applicable codes and standards
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
- 10+ years of experience within a consulting engineering environment
- Strong design experience with electrical distribution systems, including power, lighting, and fire alarm systems
- In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes
- Demonstrated project management and coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
