The Senior Financial Accountant will support the oversight and performance management of a commercial real estate portfolio. This role partners cross-functionally to ensure accurate reporting, strong operational controls, and effective financial administration across corporate and property-level activities. The position plays a key role in supporting leadership with timely analysis, reporting, and process coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize monthly and quarterly financial schedules and supporting documentation for management review.
  • Support revenue cycle activities, including invoicing, tracking receivables, and reporting on collections trends.
  • Coordinate periodic reporting requirements with external stakeholders and lending partners.
  • Partner with leasing, legal, and operations teams to ensure alignment on tenant-related financial matters.
  • Assist with cash management activities, reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules for tax and compliance purposes.
  • Oversee account reconciliations, escrow tracking, and regulatory filings.
  • Support preparation of operating expense reconciliations and respond to tenant-related financial inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of lease documentation and related system updates.
  • Assist with year-end reporting processes and annual planning/budget preparation initiatives.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical and operational support across the portfolio as needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
  • Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in real estate or asset-focused financial operations.
  • Familiarity with real estate financial systems preferred.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.
