We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to support manufacturing financial operations, including standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and margin reporting. This position works closely with operations and finance leadership to improve cost visibility and support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage standard cost rollups and maintain costs for materials, labor, overhead, and finished goods
• Assist with monthly close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Review manufacturing variances and communicate key insights to finance and operations teams
• Monitor inventory valuation (raw materials, WIP, and finished goods) and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories
• Deliver cost and margin analysis by product, customer, and plant
• Collaborate with plant leadership on cost savings and productivity initiatives
• Maintain accuracy of BOMs, routings, and item master data within ERP systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics D365 preferred)
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
