Job Title: Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer

Location: Crystal Lake, Rosemont, or Mokena, IL

Summary:

Our client is a well established and award winning design, engineering, and construction firm with 75+ years of proven track record delivering successful infrastructure projects.

We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join the team and lead the design of drinking water and wastewater projects while helping develop new client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in water/wastewater engineering, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and ensure the successful completion of projects
• Prepare and monitor project schedules to assure successful delivery of projects on time and on budget
• Prepare engineering project proposals
• Make decisions independently and take responsibility for project engineering solutions
• Lead single and multi-disciplined projects
• Build and develop project team members
• Represent the company in client and agency meetings
• Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas with peers and management team
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring of project team members
• Develop and enhance client relationships and business growth
• Work with department managers to develop department standards and complete peer reviews

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, environmental emphasis
• Registered professional engineering license, Illinois preferred
• 8 or more years of experience in the design of water and wastewater projects including wastewater treatment plants
• Excellent technical writing skills
• Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
