Summary:
Our client is actively looking for a highly motivated and experienced Superintendent to join their growing NYC team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing complex Affordable Housing construction projects, including value add and occupied renovations.
About the client:
A leading GC in the Construction and Rehabilitation of NYC area Affordable Housing complexes with over 30k completed units. They work closely with private developer clients and NYCHA to improve and revitalize affordable housing complexes. The company continuously prioritizes the people involved including residents, owners, and the team while completing projects on time and under budget.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
- Allocate resources for assigned projects
- Maintain and update daily field reports in field reporting software
- Ensure accuracy of field documents and reports
- Facilitate “Tool Box Talks,” as necessary
- Ensure adherence to site safety standards and document discrepancies, if necessary
- Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
- Other related projects, as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience as a construction site superintendent
- OSHA 30
- Computer proficiency a MUST–experience with Timberline, Raken a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with strict attention to detail
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
- Ability to process requests quickly and efficiently
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment

- Salary from $90,000 to $110,000
