Job Summary

Our client, a leading manufacturing company is looking for a Tax Manager to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compile data for year-end tax provision and coordinate federal and state income tax returns with external providers.
  • Serve as the primary contact for CPA firms on tax matters.
  • Prepare and ensure timely payment of tax extensions and estimated payments.
  • Knowledge of International GST/VAT and R&D credit calculations.
  • Liaise with HR on individual tax inquiries and ensure internal controls over income tax accounting.
  • Manage Tax Fixed Asset database and generate necessary reports for tax returns.
  • Support General Ledger and Financial Reporting as needed.
  • Complete monthly/quarterly sales and use tax returns and payments.
  • Oversee Forms 1099 issuance and research tax legislation for impact on the company.
  • Assist the CFO with tax analysis and planning for growth strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Taxation or Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • 7-10 years of corporate tax experience or related public accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with federal and state tax compliance, especially in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international tax regulations is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax accounting rules; IFRS preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
