About the role:
The Traveling Project Manager will be responsible for leading various Manufacturing, Distribution, Data Center, and Automation projects while working closely with owners, architects, engineers, and project staff. Thanks to a strong backlog, you will always know where your next project is!
Responsibilities:
- Manage entire construction projects including planning, coordinating or budgeting activities
- Meet job requirements and control costs by coordinating and utilizing all of the resources needed.
- Assesses scope of work and resources required
- Verify estimates for completeness with detailed review of specifications, drawings, and all contract documents.
- Supervise total construction efforts to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with owner, A/E representatives, and subcontractors.
- Plan, coordinates and supervises onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, etc.), and provides day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff.
- Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. Oversees and reviews extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
- Safety, quality and productivity of subcontractors as self-perform employees.
- Administer financial tracking systems to monitor project costs and forecast the remaining project cost.
- Prepares complete plan of execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management/Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of Construction experience, client core market preferred
- Demonstrated leadership ability, concise execution of plans, vision of project future, and effective communication
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of all applicable construction processes and procedures.
- Strong client relations skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
