Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our finance team, we are a leading manufacturer in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Electronics sectors. The Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. This role is critical to driving our financial strategy and supporting the overall growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and develop financial forecasts; monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Accounting Oversight: Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and financial performance, and develop strategies to optimize working capital.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Audit Coordination: Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive management on strategic initiatives, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally in a CPG or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems; experience with [specific software if applicable] preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a finance team.
