Our client, a well-known and highly reputable real estate investment firm with a $15B+ portfolio, is seeking a Corporate Controller to oversee the consolidations processes for all entities under the firm’s umbrella. This position offers a hybrid schedule (1-2 days per week from home) and the opportunity to build out a new department.

Responsibilities:

• Lead consolidations processes for multiple entities
• Oversee financial statement preparation at the corporate level in accordance with GAAP
• Manage the quarter-end and year-end close processes
• Provide schedules and support for quarterly financial statement reporting package
• Work closely with outside CPAs and tax professionals
• Partner with C-Suite to provide GAAP guidance and support for business transactions
• Conduct research on technical GAAP accounting issues
• Monitor corporate cash balances and perform cash flow projections
• Assist in building the corporate budget and provide quarterly variance analyses
• Collaborate with various other departments throughout the organization

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or a related field
• CPA strongly preferred
• Minimum of 8-10+ years of experience in the real estate and/or construction industry
• Knowledge of Yardi, MRI or related software
