Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant supports a variety of accounting activities and plays a key role in the monthly financial close process. This position involves a moderate level of responsibility with significant visibility and accountability across different areas of the organization. The role includes preparing journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, and contributing to the preparation of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and performing account analysis
  • Verify and align data across financial, operational, and reporting systems
  • Investigate discrepancies and recommend solutions to management
  • Review and reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for financial records
  • Create and update documentation to support compliance with internal controls
  • Adapt and improve internal accounting processes in response to business changes
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Provide documentation and support for audits and internal reviews
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or related financial roles
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office tools – SAP preferred
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • Flexible and open to change, with a problem-solving mindset
