Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Corporate Credit Manager to join our manufacturing organization headquartered in Cherry Hill, NJ. This role is responsible for managing the company’s credit and collections functions, evaluating customer creditworthiness, setting credit limits, and mitigating financial risk to ensure the company maintains a healthy cash flow and minimizes bad debt exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Management:
  • Evaluate credit applications and establish credit limits for new and existing customers.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor credit policies and procedures in alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.
  • Perform in-depth credit analysis using financial statements, credit reports, and trade references.
  • Accounts Receivable & Collections:
  • Oversee the collection process for accounts receivable across all customer accounts.
  • Manage the aging of receivables and proactively identify high-risk accounts.
  • Partner with the sales and customer service teams to resolve disputes and support customer relationships.
  • Risk Mitigation:
  • Monitor credit exposure and work with insurance providers on credit insurance policies.
  • Recommend and implement strategies for reducing bad debts and delinquent accounts.
  • Prepare and present risk assessments and credit exposure reports to senior management.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and develop a team of credit and collections professionals.
  • Set performance goals and conduct regular team evaluations.
  • System & Process Improvement:
  • Work with the IT and finance departments to optimize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other) for credit and collections processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in credit operations, reporting, and automation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or professional certification such as NACM, CCE preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive credit and collections experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry or B2B industrial sectors strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with credit analysis tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of credit insurance, lien laws, and UCC filings is a plus.
