Position Overview:

The Assistant Project Manager will lead the coordination and execution of interior renovations construction projects. This individual will assist in overseeing project timelines, budgets, subcontractor management, and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing corporate interior projects from inception to completion.
  • Support the preparation and management of project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Monitor on-site activities to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Assist in client communication, ensuring all project updates are clearly conveyed and expectations are managed.
  • Participate in regular site visits, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Support the Project Manager in conducting regular meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are completed within established timelines and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in commercial interiors or general contracting in NYC.
  • Knowledge of construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with NYC construction codes and regulations is a plus.
