Controller – Manufacturing

Position Summary

The Controller is responsible for managing all accounting, financial reporting, and planning activities within the organization. This role requires someone with a positive mindset and excellent communication skills to ensure the precision of financial data. The Controller is tasked with implementing best practices and offering essential support for business decisions, helping to align financial information with the company’s strategic objectives. This position is key to upholding financial integrity and enabling informed decision-making throughout the organization.

Responsibilities & Duties

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reports, ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards, Management Reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
  • Implement and maintain policies and procedures to streamline AP/AR processes and improve cash flow.
  • Report and communicate performance to FP Leadership.
  • Oversee the Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

  • Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
  • Support external and internal audits and local tax filings.
  • Business partner to the Belen site Manager, providing financial and strategic guidance.
  • Oversight of Belen financial accounting and cost accounting systems. and analysis of manufacturing activity.
  • Provide efficiency and cost reduction recommendations, supporting process improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee periodic planning and annual budgeting processes for FP- NA (US50).
  • Support global FP planning processes and contribute to their improvement over time.
  • Perform financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within the manufacturing industry required.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with SAP required; experience with Oracle – Hyperion Planning preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
