Our client, an investment firm with over $10B+ in assets, is seeking a Corporate Controller to oversee the day-to-day corporate accounting functions and oversee a team of 5-10.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Oversee corporate accounting for a real estate and related investments

· Consolidate various entities within the company’s portfolio

· Review accounting of various entities throughout the organization and prepare GAAP-based consolidated financial statements

· Liaise with outside audit and tax parties.

· Coordinate monthly and quarterly closings; review monthly and quarterly reporting packages

· Review annual budget with inputs from asset and property managers

· Create and maintain complex spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

· Experience in accounting/tax within real estate, hospitality, financial services or a related industry

· Strong knowledge of GAAP

· CPA is strongly preferred but not required

· Strong computer skills including Excel

· Knowledge of Yardi, MRI or similar software is preferred
