Our client is a leading global manufacturer that has experience double digit growth over the last 5 years. They have a newly created Cost Accountant role to join their growing accounting department with a fantastic leader.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Create, monitor, and accurately maintain all project phases within SAP.
• Complete a detailed budget vs actual variance analysis on completed projects, working in conjunction with the various discipline department managers and supervisors for variance explanations.
• Cost close-out process on completed project shipments and installations monthly.
• Maintain and record monthly journal entries relating to warranty, training, post-ship, and install accruals, etc.
• Maintain, reconcile, and report all inventory accounts each month.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Business or Accounting; C.P.A., C.M.A., A.P.I.C.S., or other certification highly desired.
• Minimum of 3-5 years manufacturing industry experience, especially job or process cost accounting
• Excellent communication / presentation skills.
• Experienced, hands-on ERP user, preferably in SAP.
