Our client, a billion dollar manufacturer that is a leader in it’s industry is looking to add to its Cost Accounting team due to a recent promotion.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial support for manufacturing and service operations, ensuring timely and accurate transaction recording and variance analysis.
- Analyze actual vs. standard manufacturing costs, identify variances, and report findings to management.
- Review work-orders, manufacturing accounting, and ensure compliance with finance policies and procedures.
- Assist with month-end close, budget development, and support special projects and plant activities.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand cost drivers and educate on financial impacts.
- Support internal controls implementation and conduct ad-hoc cost analysis as needed.
- Travel to plants for process training and physical inventory audits, particularly in the fourth quarter.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required
- 3+ years in a manufacturing accounting position
- Ability to support cross-functional plant management team
- Proven ability to prioritize objectives and duties
- Willingness to travel up to 15%
