Our client, a food and beverage manufacturer, is looking for a temporary cost accountant. This position is 5 days on site for 3 months. There is potential for extension/converting to full time.

• Generate weekly operational reports covering manufacturing processes, including line performance, labor efficiency, and downtime.
• Compile shrink reports on plant operations, encompassing liquid egg, ingredients, packaging, and processing costs.
• Maintain and report balances of finished goods inventory weekly.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of raw material inventory counts and ledger accounts.
• Monitor process order variances monthly, facilitating resolution between production and accounting.
• Coordinate setup of new products and raw materials in SAP, managing updates to existing items.
• Establish master data, including resources, materials, bills of materials (BOMs), and recipes.
• Prepare standard cost estimates regularly.
• Provide weekly summaries of rework and scrap charges.
• Support month-end close tasks, annual budgeting, USDA reporting, and ensure compliance with safety, GMPs, and food quality standards.
