About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fiduciary Tax Manager to join our client’s team in Willow Grove, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of fiduciary income tax returns (Form 1041), ensuring compliance with federal and state tax laws, and advising high-net-worth clients and trustees on complex tax matters related to estates and trusts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review fiduciary income tax returns (Form 1041), gift tax returns (Form 709), and estate tax returns (Form 706)
  • Provide tax planning strategies and guidance to clients regarding trust and estate matters
  • Review trust documents, wills, and other legal documents to ensure accurate tax reporting
  • Collaborate with estate planning attorneys, financial advisors, and fiduciary officers to deliver holistic tax strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Mentor and supervise junior tax staff, providing training and technical support
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax laws impacting trusts and estates
  • Assist with IRS and state tax audits and notices related to fiduciary accounts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred)
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent designation required
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in fiduciary taxation, estate and trust tax preparation
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws pertaining to estates and trusts
  • Experience with tax software such as CCH ProSystem fx, GoSystem Tax RS, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
