Our client is seeking an adaptable and highly organized staff generalist to join the Human Resources team. The staff generalist supports the Human Resources team by contributing to a variety of key Human Resource functions. These functions include benefits and compensation, reporting, and administrative duties. The successful candidate enjoys collaborating across departments on projects and can multitask in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain company directory and other organizational charts
  • Recommend new policies, approaches, and procedures
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings
  • Create and revise job descriptions
  • Schedule and calendar management
  • Conduct annual salary surveys
  • Develop, revise, and recommend personnel policies and procedures
  • Assist with benefits administration
  • Responsible for the full life cycle of employee files
  • Oversee recruitment efforts
  • Conduct phone screenings
  • Facilitate new employee orientations
  • Oversee exit interviews
  • Maintain department records and reports
  • Assist the human resources team with projects as needed
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
  • Maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
  • Assist the HR team with other ad hoc projects and daily tasks

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, or related field
  • Benefits administration and compensation management experience
  • Two plus years experience of HR experience with an emphasis on coordinating projects
  • Ability to adapt to an evolving environment and handle multiple high-volume priorities
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
  • Advanced in using Microsoft Office and Excel
