Our client is a Long Island based real estate development firm that has actively been working on several high-quality multifamily developments within the area. They are seeking to add an in-house counsel to oversee construction contracts for their multiple projects currently in the pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Provides legal support and counsel on all Real Estate Development matters as needed
• Participate in the formulation of strategy for Real Estate contract negotiations
• Draft, edit and negotiate all contracts, leases, permits, memorandum of understandings, and other documents as applicable
• Direct and/or advise management on the interpretation of real estate agreements
• Prepare draft regulations for supporting the real estate department
• Assist with drafting Requests for Proposals as needed
• Ensure compliance with established protocols and procurement process, as applicable
• Draft and negotiate complex contracts required to implement Real Estate Development projects

Qualifications:

• JD Licence required
• 2+ years experience working with real estate contracts
