Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. This role involves preparing financial statements, conducting audits, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, analyzing trends and variances.
  • Audit Preparation: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file local, state, and federal tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting department and implement best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
