My client, a stable and rapidly growing real estate development company on LI is seeking a Senior Accountant with the ability to grow within the organization. This person will gain diverse experience, working closely with a terrific CFO in overseeing all finance/accounting duties related to a multifamily portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile books and records on a monthly basis
• Responsible for all the accounting for properties within the portfolio
• Putting together workpapers, reconcile all bank accounts and be responsible for analysis of the data and bringing issues/large variances or missing items to the CFO’s/Vice President’s attention
• Assist the CFO with audits and other deliverables to external parties such as budgets, compliance reporting, etc

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in the corporate accounting world preferred
• Proficiency in Sage Timberline a plus
• Self-starter with initiative
• Strong analytically and organized
