Position Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst partners with Finance and Operations to provide accurate, actionable cost information that supports pricing decisions, cost control, and margin improvement. This role works closely with manufacturing, procurement, quality, sales, and inventory teams to ensure product and operational costs are properly captured, analyzed, and reported.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze job and product costs to support profitability and operational decision-making
- Maintain, review, and update standard costs, bills of materials (BOMs), and production routings
- Perform variance analysis for materials, labor, overhead, and freight
- Support budgeting and forecasting related to manufacturing, inventory, and operational expenses
- Assist with month-end close activities, including cost-related reconciliations
- Support inventory audits, physical counts, and inventory-related reporting
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Enhance costing processes, internal controls, and data accuracy across systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or product-based environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP, inventory accounting, and standard costing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus
